2019 Southern Counties Archery Society Indoor Championships

The 2019 Southern Counties Archery Society Indoor Championships were held on 24 February as part of the Battle of Basing shoot in Old Basing, Hampshire. 186 archers from 78 clubs representing 14 counties competed in the WA 25 and WA 18 – WRS combined rounds last Sunday. Shooting took seven hours and 120 arrows to complete. Our club was represented by Monika, Zara, Mikolaj, Hayden, Henry, Cameron and Szymon. The team won four gold and two silver medals. Despite competing against senior archers, our juniors team’s excellent results helped the County of London to achieve 5th place in the County Recurve Teams competiton. Special congratulations goes to Szymon for winning the Junior Champion Trophy, with a score of 1076 points – the highest score in the junior recurve division making him the SCAS Champion for 2019. Congratulations to all our archers.
