ABOUT US

THE CLUB

We are a friendly thriving club who shoot a variety of bow types, from recurve and compound bows, to traditional longbows and barebows.

We support our members with hands on advice to help develop their archery skills, discipline and capability whether this is shooting for leisure or competitions.

JUNIOR TEAM

Our club has a very active junior section and to date has been very successful at the London Youth Games and county level competitions.

Our juniors share a great camaraderie and constantly encourage each other while developing their archery skills.

MEMBERSHIP

Southfields Archery Club is always keen to welcome new members. Please read the sections below for more details.

If you have any questions, please contact our Membership Secretary.

We also ask that all members (new and existing) read and agree to abide by the club rules and archer etiquette.

Invisible
Beginners

The easiest way to start is to join one of our Open Shoot sessions. You do not need to be a club member to book. If you are a complete beginner you may want to start with our Beginner’s Open Shoot (Sunday afternoons and Friday evenings). Once you have completed a beginner’s course with us, you will be eligible to join Southfields Archery Club as a member.

Sunday 14:00 – 15:30 and 15:45 – 17:15
Friday 17:45 – 19:30

For any issues with booking classes please contact Aspire directly.

Junior archers

We welcome junior archers wishing to join our club. Please note that those aged under 16 years of age will need to be accompanied by an adult at all times, until the junior member, their parent / guardian and the club are comfortable with any alternative arrangements that are agreed.

Experienced archers

Archers who have completed an Archery GB recognised beginners course at our club or at another club, intermediate archers and seasoned pros are all more than welcome to join our club. If we have not seen you shoot before, one of our coaches will need to confirm that you are of a sufficient level to be classed as at least a ‘novice’ before you can shoot with us at a regular session.

Membership fees 2024-2025

Our membership year runs from October. With the new Archery GB fee structure there will no longer be any pro rata rates, so whenever you join, your membership will expire the following year at the beginning of the month you joined. Please note that in addition to the club membership fee, you will need to become a member of Archery GB and pay the required fees – which will also enable you to enter competitions at a county, regional or national level. We will be happy to make the Archery GB membership application on your behalf when you join the club.
