Guildford Head to Head

Southfields Archers, Shed and Penny, took part in the Guildford Head to Head. With favourable shooting conditions, Shed ranked number 1 and Penny number 2 in the Barebow qualification round, scoring 592* and 531* respectively.

Both our archers made a strong start in the Head to Heads, unfortunately Shed was knocked out in the last 8, however Penny made it through to the Gold final. After losing the first two ends, Penny took the next two ends with the final end being a draw resulting in a shoot off for the Gold – unluckily it was not to be, Penny picking up Silver.

This capped off a fine run of results for Penny:

Silver – Kent Archery Association Matchplay*
Silver – County of Oxfordshire AS Matchplay*
Gold – Surrey Senior County Championships

* Shed scored a Grand Master Bowmen score and Penny has had multiple Master Bowmen scores.
